For more than 10 years, Guinness Nigeria’s learning for life programme has been helping some groups of prolific undergraduates cover part of their complete tuition. Only 20 undergraduates used to receive this scholarship, but the company has added an extra 5 to make it 25 students.

The Undergraduate Guinness Scholarship is one of the three scholarship schemes provided by Guinness Nigeria, they also provide
- Technical training scholarship which enables young school leavers to study at the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT), Isheri Lagos State.
- The Guinness Graduate Skills Development Scholarship Scheme provides full tuition for 10 Engineering graduates to undergo a one-year Graduate Skills Development Programme at the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN).

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this Guinness Scholarship, applicants have to;
- Be a citizen of Nigeria or permanent resident in Nigeria
- Applicant must be in their first or second year in any accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.
Guinness Undergraduate Scholarship 2023 Deadline
Just like most scholarships in Nigeria, their deadlines are few weeks after the scholarships started. So the 2023 deadline for Guinness Scholarship will be 2 weeks after the application has started.

How to Win Guinness Scholarship
Most Nigerians don’t win scholarships not necessarily because they didn’t qualify, but they didn’t follow the right steps, but here are some guides to winning this scholarship.
- Apply Early: It is normal for students to do things a few days before the deadline, but if you’re among the selected few that will apply for this scholarship on time, you stand a chance of winning it. Because the providers won’t be in a hurry to go through your application and they will see your seriousness too.
- Make sure to submit the right information: Those that are always victims of spelling error, or unnecessary mistakes are mostly those that are applying during the deadline. Because they will be in a hurry to fill in all the details, but this is one of the things that can disqualify you. Make sure to submit the right information, if possible go through your details 3 times.
- Go through the requirements: Each scholarships have their eligibility requirements, don’t assume anything, go through all of them and submit anything they need.
- Get a Mentor: Having someone that has already won the scholarship as your coach will give you a very high edge to winning this or any scholarship.
- Maintain a Good Grade: Most of these scholarships are renewable, so you good CGPA will determine if the company will award you another scholarship.
